WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY REGISTRATION?


Included in your registration is 2.5 days of diverse programming. Including:
· Opening Reception with Appetizers (Sunday, May 31st) · World-renowned speakers and performances · Holocaust survivor presentations · Educational programming · International exhibits · Networking · Films · Breakfasts and lunches (Monday, June 1 & Tuesday, June 2)
OPTIONAL: Dine Around event on Monday, June 1, where you will be hosted by a Toronto-area venue of your choice for dinner and programming ($25)




WHAT IS THE AGENDA FOR THE EVENT?


Sunday, May 31: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM Monday, June 1: 8:00 AM – 5:45 PM with Optional Dine-Around from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM Tuesday, June 2: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with optional post-programming
A more detailed agenda will be posted to the website in the coming weeks. Other optional pre- and post-programming will be offered in the coming months.




WHAT ARE THE DINE-AROUNDS?


Community Dine-Arounds are a very special program of Liberation75 where you will be invited to experience different facets of Toronto through our many exciting host venues. Every Dine-Around venue will be providing a unique dinner and program as a special way to showcase the best of Canadian hospitality!
The cost is $25 per person which includes transportation from the Convention Centre to/from the venue, your meal and programming.

Dine-Arounds will take place between 6 PM - 9 PM on Monday, June 1.




WHAT IS THE COST FOR ATTENDING LIBERATION75?


Teacher Professional Development is free of charge. Community Dine-Around is $25 CAD (opt-in when you register).
General Attendee Rates are as follows:
· $375.00 CAD
*For Holocaust survivors requiring financial assistance, Liberation75 has a subsidy available. Please contact info@liberation75.org to inquire*

I AM TRAVELLING TO LIBERATION75 FROM OUT OF TORONTO, WHERE CAN I STAY?


Toronto has an abundance of hotels, motels and AirBNB options available. Liberation75 has secured courtesy room blocks and rates at many hotels throughout the city. We encourage you to book soon as rooms fill up fast, and rates may increase closer to the event dates. We also encourage you to check online sources such as Expedia.ca for various choices.




CAN I CANCEL MY REGISTRATION?


Please see our cancellation policy:
All cancellations must be made in writing and sent via email to the Liberation75 event planning team, at ali@redstoneagency.ca, or by phone at 647-660-0694.

A full refund, minus an administrative fee of $25 per registration, will be made on cancellations submitted to our office by Saturday, February 29, 2020. A 50% refund, minus an administrative fee of $25 per registration, will be made on cancellations submitted to our office from Sunday, March 1, 2020 to Thursday, April 30, 2020. Cancellations after this date and "no shows" will not be eligible for refunds. Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment. Registrations are transferable.

In the event of a show cancellation, Liberation75 is not responsible for any airfare, hotel or other expenses incurred by registrants. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED BEGINNING FRIDAY, MAY 1, 2020. Liberation75 reserves the right to change the above policy at any time without prior notice. Submission of this registration form for processing by Liberation75 is considered acceptance of the terms and conditions noted above.




I ONLY WANT TO ATTEND ONE DAY OF THE CONFERENCE, IS THAT POSSIBLE?


Unfortunately, Liberation75 does not offer registration for only one day. Due to space constraints, you must register for the full conference.




IS THIS A KOSHER EVENT?


Kosher meals will be upon request. Please select kosher meals when you fill out your registration form.




I AM AN OVERSEAS PARTICIPANT AND NEED A LETTER OF INVITATION BEFORE I CAN RECEIVE MY VISA. WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE?


Please email info@liberation75.org if you are in need of a letter of invitation.




WHILE I AM IN TORONTO, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE OTHER THINGS. ARE YOU OFFERING ANY TOURS?


Liberation75 has partnered with various tour companies to offer a variety of exciting tour options for you. Please see "Your Visit" for more information.

EDUCATOR ATTENDEES

WHO CAN ATTEND?


Programming is designed for educators who teach grades 7 – 12. School principals, trustees and other stakeholders are welcome to attend as well.




WHAT IS THE COST OF ATTENDING?


There is no cost to attend the Professional Development Symposium. Liberation75 is unable to cover the cost of transportation to and from the Metro Toronto Convention Centre or parking. Note that the Metro Toronto Convention Centre is linked by tunnel to Union Station.




WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY REGISTRATION?


Included in your registration is once-in-a-lifetime educational programming, as well as:
· Dinner · Educational Programming provided by best-practice international organizations · International Exhibits · Networking
*Cost of transportation and parking is the responsibility of the attendee.





STUDENT ATTENDEES

I AM HAVING TROUBLE REGISTERING MY STUDENTS?


Currently, our student registration is full. On the registration form, there is the option to add your students to a wait list.




WHO CAN ATTEND?


Students grades 7-12 can attend accompanied by educators.




WHAT IS THE COST TO ATTEND?


There is no cost to attend the Student Education Day. Liberation75 is unable to cover the cost of transportation to and from the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and students are expected to bring their own meals.




ARE SNACKS AND LUNCH INCLUDED?


Students and educators that are accompanying their students are required to bring their own lunch and snacks. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre will have a café open where you will have the option to purchase snacks.




WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY?


Our programs will run from 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.

Liberation75 is the world's largest international event to mark the 75th anniversary of liberation from the Holocaust.

Join thousands of others as we commit to fighting antisemitism and continuing Holocaust education and remembrance.

 

Liberation75 was originally planned for May 31-June 2, 2020 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Due to COVID-19, we will be announcing new dates for a virtual conference in the Spring of 2021.
