Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center
Designed for teachers instructing Grades 7-12.
The first victims of systematic killings by the Nazi regime were Germans, both Jewish and non-Jewish, with physical and intellectual disabilities. Public outrage to the T4 program resulted in the end of aspects of the program, illustrating the power of the German people. Through the analysis of primary source documents and survivor testimony, educators will learn about the history of T4, and the consequences and implications of public opposition.
