WE ARE HERE: A Celebration of Resilience, Resistance, and Hope

Missed it (or want to experience it again)? By the Museum of Jewish Heritage, this special concert event commemorated the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II and the 77th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

"Zog nit keyn mol" (the Partisan Song) binds together those who fight for justice. It begins with the words “Never say this is the final road for you,” and ends with “We Are Here.”

Renowned actors, musicians, and civic leaders featured in the event included Whoopi Goldberg, Renée Fleming, Billy Joel, Lang Lang, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, Lea Salonga, Mayim Bialik, and many more!

Please enjoy this special address by German Ambassador Michaela Küchler, Chair of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA)

The Stolpersteine (Stumbling Stones) exhibition is a European art and remembrance project by artist Gunter Demnig. This short documentary emphasizes the faces, names and stories behind each Stumbling Stone, and explores the exhibit's impact on Canadian descendants of Holocaust Survivors.

The documentary was produced on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust in May 2020. Property of German Consulate Toronto.
