Map of Jewish Populations
Echoes & Reflections
Grade 6 - 11

Designed as a resource for students, this interactive map of Jewish populations illustrates how Jews have lived throughout the world, emigrated from and immigrated to many countries throughout the last 125+ years. It traces how Jewish communities grew, moved, rebuilt, and adapted in response to a range of factors— antisemitism and persecution, including being targeted for expulsion and death in multiple countries, as well as economic hardship, the search for new opportunities, and broader historical forces. Explore this map by toggling between the years listed at the bottom and by clicking on specific countries to view demographic data and, in some cases, additional historic context.
