Shine A Light Countering Antisemitism

USC Shoah Foundation

Designed for teachers instructing Grades 6-12.

Shine A Light to raise awareness about modern antisemitism through education, community partnerships, workplace engagement, and advocacy.

UNESCO and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) have partnered with USC Shoah Foundation-The Institute for Visual History and Education (USC SF), the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), the American Jewish Committee (AJC) and Echoes & Reflections (E&R) in a commitment to counter antisemitism. The partnership offers professional development for educators through a series of micro-credentials designed to develop the knowledge and skills to effectively counter antisemitism in educational spaces.

Educators can earn the Shine A Light Countering Antisemitism certification, confirmed by these renowned organizations. Through Dimensions in Testimony, students and educators can ask questions that prompt real-time responses from a pre-recorded video of Holocaust survivors and witnesses—engaging in virtual conversation, redefining inquiry-based education.
