Before viewing the testimony of Elly Gotz, students will consider the importance of historical empathy and assess biographical information to understand the context surrounding his life before, during, and after the Holocaust. Testimony and his biography will enhance students' critical thinking skills and their understanding of the impact of Elly's experience.
